Monitoring and Evaluation – Ensuring Progress and Raising Problems

Mentors continually monitor the progress of their mentees in meeting their individual objectives; problems are raised at any time with the Service Management Team.

There are two formal key stages of assessment at three and six months. The three month assessment is light touch and involves a short report to be written jointly by the mentor and the mentee with assistance from a member of the Service Management Team at a three-way meeting. At six months – the typical end of the programme – both mentor and mentee write an individual report on the mentoring programme, and a member of the Service Management Team writes a final report to be returned to the Community Rehabilitation Company detailing the offender’s progress.
